Isaac opened the door and at once wondered if he had made a mistake. Anger surrounded him like a cloud trying to make its way into his body but he resisted it with every fiber of his being. He swatted and brushed and pushed it away. He even stepped back outside into the pouring rain to see if it would wash away in the raindrops but the cloud of anger persisted. He sighed as he could see a solution but it wasn't an easy one when anger like this tried to take hold of him.
“There are two sides to every argument,” he thought to himself. The cloud dissipated slightly.
“In every argument each side has a valid point.” The cloud shuddered slightly. He paused as he looked at the cloud and then continued.
”In an argument one or both sides insist they are correct.” The cloud became a little standoffish.
“In an argument both sides are of equal importance.” The cloud gave a violent shake.
“In an argument if both sides remain calm and try to see the other person’s point of view it can be resolved.” The cloud shrank a little more and moved closer to the door.
“Arguments persist because each side demonstrates that they think they are right, and they both are but they don’t see it.” The cloud diminished a little. By now it was the size of a dust bunny, still potent but waning in power.
“In an argument, if one side clings to their belief or makes statements that shut down the other person, the argument will never be settled.” The cloud became a little less dark.
“In an argument, if they both listen carefully and try to see the other's point of view and calmly discuss it both will be happy." The cloud shed a tiny droplet as it hung at the edge of the door.
“If they love each other the argument will disappear if they both decide that listening and talking is important.” He looked up to where the cloud was at the door frame only to discover the cloud had moved on, looking for another door to infiltrate.
He sighed, wondering what else awaited him. “Honey, I’m home.”
